Cardiovascular technologists use equipment to assist physicians with diagnoses

Pay: The 260 cardiovascular technologists and technicians in the Seattle-Bellevue-Tacoma area earned a median wage of $63,720 in 2008.
The job: Cardiovascular technologists and technicians use testing equipment to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating cardiac and peripheral vascular ailments.
Training/licensing: Most complete a two-year associate’s program; some opt for a four-year bachelor’s degree. Technicians can advance to technologist level with supplemental education and credentialing.
