Clinical laboratory technologists help detect, diagnose and treat disease
Outlook: Employment of clinical laboratory technologists is expected to increase 14 percent over the 2006-16 decade, which is faster than the average for all occupations.
Pay: The 1,930 clinical laboratory technologists in the Seattle-Bellevue-Tacoma area earned a median wage of $61,530 in 2008.
The job: Clinical laboratory testing plays a crucial role in the detection, diagnosis and treatment of disease. Clinical laboratory technologists -- also referred to as clinical laboratory scientists or medical technologists -- perform most of these tests.
Training/licensing: Clinical laboratory technologists generally require a bachelor’s degree in medical technology or in one of the life sciences.

These are well educated people but why is it that Lab corp uses them as blood drawers.Lab corp advertisers as need for Med Techs but uses them as blood drawers.This is a shame and the techs are not using their skills as they are trained to do .
