My First Job: Lesley Odland
|
Now: Director of Northwest Builders Show
Then: Housekeeper
Current position: Director of trade-show operations for Master Builders Association, the largest home-building association in the U.S.
First job: Although I had many jobs, housekeeping was the best. I worked for my mother's friends and they paid on time and often gave me a bonus. A dirty job, but worth the money.
What I learned: Cleaning another person's house can be very humbling, but also rewarding. Doing a good job is important to becoming successful. I really enjoyed working with people, and being in charge.
