What do you do? I’m a sales associate at Funko, which produces licensed pop-culture toys. It’s often referred to as “slangin’ bobbleheads.” Some of my main focuses? Obtaining new customers, keeping current and potential customers excited about Funko items and doing it with a big, giant smile on my face.

What’s a typical day like? Daily tasks:

1. Create marketing emails to show off exciting new items.
2. Chat with customers.
3. Update sales Facebook page with info and images.
4. Respond to the plethora of inquires received on our Funko Facebook page.
5. Email.
6. Laugh.
7. Email.
8. Giggle.
9. Email.
10. Have fun! Oh, and occasionally, I email.

What’s the best part of the job? I love the industry -- comic books, movie characters, cartoons, television characters, pop culture -- I thrive on these things! The people are great, from the people I work with to the owners of our local comic shops -- and everyone in between! We have FUN and we try to remember that we are not saving the world, although toys are VERY important.

What surprises people about your job? The crazy amount of licensors we work with; i.e., Disney, Marvel, LucasFilms, Warner Bros., DC Comics, MTV, Sanrio, Microsoft, KISS, 20th Century Fox, AMC, Elvis Presley, HBO, MGM ... shall I go on? Because I can! How can you not love a company that sells everything from Freddy Krueger to Hello Kitty, from "Walking Dead" to Darth Vader? And nobody ever believes we are right here locally in Lynnwood.
