What This Job Pays: flight attendant
Pay: The average pay of a flight attendant in the Seattle area is about $25 an hour, with most making from about $17 to $36 an hour, according to PayScale, a Seattle company that tracks compensation and benefits.
Demand: Employment of flight attendants is expected to grow about as fast as average for all occupations in the coming years, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. However, the allure of travel is expected to draw more applicants than there are jobs. College graduates who have experience dealing with the public should have the best chance of being hired. Job opportunities may be better with the faster growing regional and commuter, low-fare and charter airlines. There also are job opportunities for professionally trained flight attendants to work for companies operating private aircraft for their executives.
