Perhaps it's fear of the coming St. Patty's Day hangover. Maybe it's due to the one-hour shift to Daylight Saving Time. Whatever the reason, we have a mashup of networking events and seminars this week that all happen to occur tomorrow.
From morning till night on March 16, from downtown Seattle to Bellevue, at least four different events will be occurring to help prepare you for your next job. Some of the events will overlap and cover a wide range of job-search topics so choose your venue wisely. (Not in town on Tuesday? Never fear, there is one other event scheduled for Thursday on the Eastside.)
TUESDAY, MAR. 16
Seattle Career Fair - Start off the day with this chance to meet face-to-face with hiring managers from dozens of employers in the greater Seattle area. Sponsored by Choice Career Fairs, this free event allows you to pre-register on the Web site and post resumes that can be directed to participating companies. Where: Northwest Rooms, Seattle Center. When: 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Cost: Free.
Game Industry Startup 101 - Attention gamers: If you are seeking a job in the video game industry or interested in starting your own company, this Washington Interactive Network workshop will provide tips on marketing and PR strategies that are critical to long-term sustainability. A panel of industry veterans, including Perrin Kaplan of Zebra Partners, Craig Davison of XBbox Live and Jeff Pobst of Hidden Path Entertainment, will discuss which approaches generate the best results: Where: Bellevue City Hall, Bellevue. When: 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Cost: $35; $25 for WIN members.
How to Effectively Present Ideas to Anyone - This latest installment of the Biznik Innovators Series, will feature a lecture by Scott Berkun, a pubic speaking expert who can help hone your interviewing skills and presentation skills. Appetizers, wine selections and free copies of Berkun's book, "The Myths of Innovation and Confessions of a Public Speaker," are included. Where: Hotel 1000, Seattle. When: 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Cost: $40 for Biznik members; $35 Biznik Pro; $25 for Biznik ProVIPs.
.
Seattle Job Social - One of the region's most popular social gatherings for job seekers is back with another fun get-together to unwind, relax and mingle with more than 20 representatives from Seattle companies that are looking for new hires. The ratio of job seekers to company representatives at these events has been roughly 5:1. Where: Twist Lounge and Restaurant, Belltown. When: 6 to 9 p.m. Cost: $5, RSVP required.
THURSDAY, MAR. 18
Eastside Networking Event - After a day to recharge you batteries from "Super Tuesday," keep your momentum going with this casual networking meetup in Bellevue. At the last event, more than 400 networking professionals attended for a chance to swap stories and contacts with other job-seeking peers and to connect with Eastside recruiters. Where: Rock Bottom Brewery, Bellevue. When: 6 to 9 p.m. Cost: Free.

Hey Randy - you might want to start including Eastside Entrepreneurs (http://EastsideEntrepreneurs.com) events in your listings. The continued absence is glaring.
Thank you.

Thanks for including the Biznik Innovators Series in your post, Randy. I'm afraid tonight's event with Scott Berkun is completely SOLD OUT with a long wait list, which will not accommodate any walk-ins.
