Cascade Bank

Community banks have had another challenging year, but morale is still high at Snohomish County's Cascade Bank. "Despite a tough economy for banking, they put their employees first," one worker says. Part of that is that employees feel like they're kept in the loop. The 215-person staff gets frequent updates from management about the state of the bank and what they can do to help it thrive -- whether that's listening to the bank customers who walk up to the teller window and delivering great customer service or participating in the many local service-oriented activities that put the word "community" in "community bank." "There really is a true team spirit at Cascade Bank," another worker says, "which is why I think we really do provide the best customer service, and I'm very proud of that!"
